Hi all,
My wife (USC) and I (on F1-OPT) plan to file for my GC. Her income is not enough to meet required household income, so I intend to add mine (from my current job) in I 864.
I have a potential job offer with higher salary.
I- 864 instructions say – “If the intending immigrant is your spouse, his or her income can be included if it will continue from the same source after he or she obtains lawful permanent resident status.”
Does this mean, I have to stay in my current job until I get my GC, if I help meet the income needs? Can I change my job while my application is being processed?
