  • Will my daughter have to show original docs to her IR2 interview in another country?

Me and my husband are here in the USA... I immigrated from the Philippines in 2015. I applied to bring my daughter here also (IR2) and she has an interview date. One of many tests passed so far. She needs to give to her interviewer documents such as Tax Return Transcripts for me and my husband among other things. It states that they need originals. How is that possible? We are in the USA, she is in the Philippines. We downloaded the PDF from the IRS. Will that work? Technically, there ARE no original documents since some are digital as I filed taxes online. Also the affidavit of support. Lots of documents are here!

Am I looking too deep into this? Thank you for any help... Jane

The tax transcripts is just a print out of the PDF, so no problems there. Other documents that must be signed are a different story.
Can you use Fedex to send them? Can you travel with them?
Some documents are very important to risk any damage to them, can you get a certified copy for those?
Sorry, no experience, just thinking about options.
