How long to wait to file after marriage

Hi, I'm a new user. US citizen spouse filing for a marriage-based green card. We live together in the US.

Our goal is to file within the next week.

I wanted to know how long is typical to wait after getting married before applying? I've seen people who filed within a week of tying the knot and people who waited years. What are your experiences? Also, what should we send the initial packet in? Folder, bolder, loose in the envelope? And if in folders or other holder, should each application be in a separate holder?

You can file as soon after the marriage as you want (as soon as you get all the documents including the certified marriage certificate).

Thank you, but I wasn’t asking for when one becomes eligible to file. I mostly wanted to know about people’s experience (including yours) and about how to arrange the packet.
