  • Waiting for NVC e-mail after I-130/I-797 approval

Hello, I've received the I-797 approval notice for my I-130 (F2A), with notice date of November 14th, 2019, we are now waiting for the NVC e-mail to continue processing. My I-130 was processed in California. What's the expected timeline to receive email with instructions from NVC? My lawyer said they already sent an inquiry since more than 30days have passed and we are waiting to hear back from that. Is there anything else we can do in the mean time? E-mail/call?

May I know what is your i130 PD? I am thinking between to file F2A concurrent i130,i485, i765, and i131 or i130 and then do interview at home country US Consulate. Because it looks like option 2 is faster. It may take more than 2yr if I do option 1 in the US.

This is from the Visa Bulletin for January 2020:
F2A: In July this category was made “Current” in an effort to generate new demand for use under the annual limit. Information received during discussions with the National Visa Center indicates that this action has finally begun to have the intended results. Therefore, it is likely that a final action date will be imposed within the next few months. This action is unlikely to have any negative impact on those who have already acted on their case in a timely manner prior to the announcement of the January final action dates.
If you file concurrent in the USA you can stay, and work with an approved I-765, until the GC is approved. If you file I-130 and wait for approval to do consular processing, the Final Action Dates will impact the time the beneficiary will need to stay outside the USA.
