Calling All F2A's (Spouses & Children of Permanent Residents)

My priority date is 15 NOV 09 and every time I check the visa bulletin it clearly says that for May, my dates are current.

I'm an F2A by the way.

It's now May 7th 2012 and I've been waiting for this for such a long time and I just don't want it to pass me by.

We've already given the DS 230, and I have all the papers needed. I just can't seem to get an interview, no one has called/emailed me, and everytime I call they keep telling me to check the website, because my date is STILL not current.

I'm just not sure if this is normal. I just figured once my priority dates came up, I'd have a visa available for me and I'd be able to set up an interview.

Call the US Embassy. If your papers are not there yet, call NVC. Just keep calling everyday til you get the interview date. Good luck.

What should I ask the NVC? I mean we already received the approval package from them...

Ask them when you will be scheduled for an interview since your PD is already current.

just applied F2a...but husband submit i-130 with the AOS

hi im soo glad to know that theres a forum created with same cases.. im so happy to read all the thread.. im so worried we just applied form i-130 just this june 2012 and when i was reading all the feedback/thread. i realized that my husband who is an LPR passed the i-130 along with the AOS.. im so worried if they will return the form or process it. it would really delay if they will return it back. we havent receive any feedback yet for now. pls hoping for your help and feedback.. thanks

I received an interview date

I received an interview date but i am now 22 years old
Am i still elligible?
I dont know if i am still in f2a category.

and what does this mean?

It is possible that an applicant may come on the appointed interview date only to find out
that he/she no longer qualifies for the visa he/she is applying for due to changes in the

Since your petition was approved 4 months after filing you cannot qualify for CSPA. You have aged out. You will be automatically moved to F2B.

hello good day! My husband is a permanent resident in hawaii... and he just filed for a F2a petition last june 2012 for me and for our daughter. Last june 18 we received an
email that they already received our application last June 18,2012 too.. my question is how long does it take for us to wait for our approval...
is it after a month, or months, or years for us to wait for our approval? pls answer.. thanks

If you're a derivative you will be left behind. Your parents should file the I130 when they reach the US.
During the interview the CO will calculate your CSPA age and will find out that you're overage. You should call NVC now and ask about it so you don't waste money on the medical. This is quite expensive.
In the calculator the VISA availability date should be 8/1/2012. It will compute your age to be almost 22 years old.
