  • Regarding filing i-765 based on pending i-485

    Hello,

    I few questions.
    1. can I file I 765 and I 131 without my lawyer help as my lawyer has previously transfer my I 485 but rightnow I can not afford him to file work permit .
    2. I called uscis and they told me that there is no fee for filing I 765 and I 131 as it is based on pending I 485. Or do I need to attach for I 912 for fee waiver.
    3. Through form AR-11, I have changed my address. But can I use different mailing address for my these 2 applications, I 765 and I 131 ?
    Thanks,
    Priya

    1. Yes. You can do it on your own.

    2. There is no filing fee.
Just be sure to attach a copy of your I485 receipt# and all previous EAD/AP cards.
No need to file for I-912

    3. Yes. You can enter a different mailing address from the residence address.
Your USCIS jurisdiction will be based on the permanent / residence address (where to send application)
If you change your residence after filing the form, you need to notify USCIS of the change for each pending application. This is in addition to AR11
