In preparation for I-130 submission for my father, my mom recently passed away. We will file I-130 and AOS concurrently.
Please let me know and commnet if I am missing..


Applicant(Father):
Birth related:

• NABC Certificate
• Two affidavits from relatives. None of them are older than him
• School leaving certificate - Needs translation. Any ideas on where to get this done.
• Voter Card
• Passport (This has both Mother and father’s name. Others don’t
• Mother’s Death certificate
• Marriage cert issued by municipality. Not the actual marriage cert, none existed in 1960s

Petitioner(Me)

• NABC
• One Affidavit by father (may not be suffecient)
• Affidavit by aunt

What is NABC?

For translation there are two options:
1. You can use one of the online services. They charge $20-$25 per document. I used rushtranslate.com and was happy.
2. Technically, anyone with a good knowledge of the two languages can do the translation and then certify at the end by saying "I have done the translation, completely and accurately".. something along those lines. There are templates online showing how to do this.
