I am a US citizen, planning to apply for green card for my parents who are in 70s. I was wondering, as permanent residents (green card holders) would Medicare/Medicaid cover them if they dont have any income and never worked in US before. Also, they can be away from US for maximum 6 months at a time, is there any exception to that rule. Thank you for advice.
