Affidavit of Support I 864 - who completes the form?

Hi,

Thank you in advance for your help. Here is the situation in a nutshell:
- my wife and I are US citizens. She is a homemaker and I and the only source of income for our family. My income meets the Affidavit of support criteria.
- my wife petitioned for her mother's green card and we are at the Affidavit of support stage.
- Questions:

- does my wife fill out the I 864 form as a sponsor and uses our "married, filled jointly" tax status?
- does my wife fill out the form as a sponsor and lists me as the only co-sponsor?
- do I fill out the form as a sponsor without my wife?

Your wife, as the petitioner, fills out an I-864. You would fill out an I-864A as her "household member" so that your income can be included in your wife's household income on her I-864.

Same issue am having, also I filed for my 2 step kids, do I filed i864 for each step kid,
also what are the other supporting documents aside from the w2
Subs,
letter from employer ,
transcript,
my ID
birth cert
Marriage certificate
All listed above will also be presented by husband rightist?

Then on the kids side
Birth cert
Passport
Consent letter from their mum
..

We have one constrain which is my step kids were born in Africa but moved to France with their primary country passport with their mum, which is the address in their file, but they have a PR in France can we attached the PR card as part of civil documents...

Can anyone please advice...

If you filed a separate I-130 for each step-kid (which you would have to if you are a citizen), you would need to file a separate I-864 for each.

Part 3. Of i864..am kind confused..aren't the both kids principal immigrant..
My question..
Is each kid a principal immigrant separate i864 form..
Bc states that at Part 3 section 2..do not include relative listed on a separate visa petition.

Please clarify..

Yes, each kid is the principal immigrant on their own I-864
