marriage to us citizen, expired visa

When filing for a marriage based green card for marriage to a us citizen, is there any differences in the process/forms for someone on a work visa compared to someone whose visa has expired (more than 6 months) ?

As long as the beneficiary entered the US legally, nothing to worry about.
