  • I-751 is expecting interview, should I file for naturalization of wait?

Hello everyone. I filed my I-751 in February 2020, in February 2021 my status was changed to "Ready to Be Scheduled for An Interview" and nothing happened until now (for 4 months). Probably interview will occur in Newark office, NJ. I was thinking since I'm eligible and the interview is not moving anywhere should I file N-400, or it will stretch out my case even more? Maybe somebody has such experience. Thanks!

    Timeframe:

    02/2020 I-751 was filed
02/2020 NOA I-797 was received w/GC extension for 18 months
02/2020 Appointment Notice for fingerprints received
05/2020 Appointment Cancelled, no fingerprints required
11/2020 Case transferred to Lees Summit office "for processing"
02/2021 Status updates to "My Case is Ready to Be Scheduled for An Interview"

I have read other posts and you can start N-400 if you qualify even if you are waiting to finish the I-751 process.
