Working while waiting for a marriage green card

Hi all,

I have just got married with my girlfriend who is a green card holder. I currently live and work in Europe.
Will I be able to travel to US and/or work in the US while waiting for my green card?

If you are outside the US, you will be doing Consular Processing at a US consulate for an immigrant visa. During this time, you are not granted any special ability to enter, live in, or work in the US.

Answer: No. Since you are going to apply GC while you are in abroad, you will not have the option to work in the USA with the help of GC petition. . In order to enter and work in the USA, you will need work visas.
