I got an email and a notice in the USCIS inbox with file name 'receiptnotice.pdf'. Is this the same as I-797 receipt notice? Nowhere does it says its form I-797 on the pdf. I need a copy of it to file I-485 for mom asap and need to send a copy.

Yes. This is acknowledgement notice for filing the petition. In that, you could see the receipt number for tracking the petition status..

Thanks for quick reply. Long time back they would put the form number on those receipts but surprised to see no mention of I-797 on form anywhere.
