  • DS-3032 question

    Hello everyone,
my question addresses mostly those who either chose their agents by e-mail or has knowledge how that was done. I told my wife to send an e-mail with the choice of agent content because we thought it will be a faster way to appoint one. However, it turned out to be not exactly what we expected. It has been a week already, and we still did not receive any confirmation from NVC that they accepted me as an agent of my wife. Couple days ago, however, we both received an e-mail from NVC. It had an attachment with the DS-3032 form in it. Does it mean that my wife still has to print out the form, fill it out and send it back to NVC? Or NVC hasn't yet processed my wife's e-mail?
The thing is that sending a simple letter from her country to the US costs about $50, which is ridiculously high I think. And the last thing she wants to do is to send DS-3032 by regular mail, and in a couple of days receive an e-mail confirming me as her agent of choice. That would be a waste, you know what I am saying.
So back to my question. Is there anyone who actually has sent a choice of agent by e-mail and whose choice was confirmed and accepted? Also, if someone has prior experience, how long it took before you received a response from NVC?
I would appreciate any suggestion and/or advise. Thanks in advance.

With my recent experience of sending e-mails to the NVC, I can safely say that it is better to courier a letter to NVC rather than e-mail it to them. As I have said earlier to many members on this forum that NVC will send you an automated acknowledgement letter as soon as your email reaches their servers. Then after another 10-15 working days a human being will reply to your e-mail which is the same time taken if you'd done a courier.

So I would suggest if it has been more than 10-15 working days since you've fired your initial e-mail and you've heard nothing then just phone the NVC to confirm if they've received your e-mail or not. If no email received then I suggest sending it by a courier, at least you have a tracking number and you can be rest assured that your documents have reached the numb nuts at NVC.

    Hope this helps.

    Good luck.

      Hi,
yeah, I guess you are right. I just thought that it will be faster by e-mail having learned that from Jamie's shortcuts. But now it turns out to be slower. I think I will send a letter if I don't get any response within 10-15 days. Thanks for your suggestion.

        Hello,
just want to update and share some news with you. I just checked the NVC account and found that my new IV invoice is ready. I figured that NVC has accepted my DS-3032 by e-mail. It took almost a week for them to process my request. But I am happy, because it was relatively fast, and absolutely free) So, I can say with confidence, that it works, dude!!!))

hey buddy, we did exactly what u did about your ds-3032.. we received the AOS fee invoice and ds-3032 on oct.18, paid the same on oct.19 and sent the ds-3032 via email on the same day..on oct.20, it was shown as Paid.. the next day, my husband called NVC and he was instructed to print the document cover sheet and send the AOS & supporting documents to NVC, which he did on oct.22.. now we're waiting for the IV fee bill to turn up on the online payment page, and further instructions on the DS-230.. experiences of others really helps a lot. thank u for sharing yours..
