  • I-130a Form Question - Part 7 Additional Information

I am filling i-130a document and need to upload online to i-130 form. make additional copies of Part 7 Additional Information to add de. The instructions says to make copies of this page to complete and file with this form or attach a separate piece of sheet of paper; sign and date each sheet. My spouse if living in India and instructions in 6.a says that beneficiary dont need to sign it.

Is it required to date and sign the ONLY the copies of Part 7 Additional Information pages OR sign the original part 7 Additional Information page as well?

Can I merge all copies of Part 7 Additional Information to original i-130a and keep single PDF or shall I upload the copies separately on the portal with i-130?

If you add extra information in Part 7 Additional Information, and it fits within the original form, you don’t need to sign or date that page. But, if you need more space and attach additional sheets or make copies of Part 7, each of those extra pages must be signed and dated to validate the information.

If your spouse (the beneficiary) lives outside the US, they don’t need to sign any part of the I-130A, including Part 7 or any added sheets.

For online filing, merge all pages (including additional Part 7 copies) into one PDF before uploading. Hope this helps. My response was based on my research, knowledge and external sources like skiplegal.ai

P.S. I came across something that could really help folks navigating family-based green card and citizenship applications. There’s a new service launching soon that promises to make the process way more accessible and affordable than the usual routes. If you’re curious, let me know, and I can share the details! 😊
