Hi,
I am currently on H1-B Visa and got married to a US Citizen in early 2012. We are starting to prepare all the paperwork to obtain my Green Card. Since I am thinking of changing my job, I understand that I will have to fill form I-765 to get an EAD. Are there any other forms that we would need to file besides I-130, I-485 and I-765? Do we need to file I-864 as well?
This is my second marriage, earlier I was married to a person with 'Employment based I-485 pending' status and I had an EAD. But before the marriage ended, I applied for H1 and it was approved. Since then I have been on H1 B visa. On the I-130 and I-485 forms, it asks for an Alien number, should I use my old number listed on my older (now invalid I suppose?) Advance parole forms? Also, on the I-765 form, it asks if I have applied for a EAD from USCIS before? (# 11) Should I list "yes' and if so, what is the date needed to be filled on # 11 where is says date(s) and what all documentation would be needed to attach with the I-765 form? In this case will the form be for 'Permission to accept employment' or ‘Renewal’?
