  • DS-3032 Choice of Address and agent Help

    Hello gurus,

I have failed for my mother in law, now we both have received DS-3032 Choice of Address and agent form. So my questions are...

    1. Who need to sign, by reading from previous threads some suggested my wife who is calling her mother so she can sign and send that will be acceptable.
I have also read that if my wife's mother sign and if she scan it back to us then we can send is that true that we can email that scanned copy if its true then do we still need to send original?

    2. When filling out this DS3032 form, we are thinking of putting my wife name as an agent. so is this a good option? What kind of communications will come to us and what kind of communication will go to mother in law.

    3. If choose to have my wife as an agent anything that come to us do we need to send back to mother in law?

thank you for your help in advance.

Your mother-in-law has to sign this form and appoint an agent. The agent can be your wife or you. Once agent has been appointed then all correspondence will go to the agent. You can email that scanned copy to NVC and I would also advice that you post the DS-3032 form to NVC as well as emails can be ignored or can get lost.

Depends on what you receive. If your mother-in-law is in India then it is better to have the agent appointed who is in USA so you receive correspondence quicker.
