I-140 validty

Hi,

I have my labor and I-140 approved.
I am planning to change my employer.
In case my new employer don't file new labor for me for next one year.
Will my labor valid from Priority date point of view?
1) Is there any chance that my current employer can cancel my labor and I-140?
2) My employer havn't gave me any document. But I have reciept number for I-140. Will that be enough document for my next employer?

Please help.
Or do I need to wait until I get my EAD.

Here's my two cents...

Yes. There is a chance that your current employer could revoke your I-140. But I heard that happens very rarely unless you leave on a very sour note. In my case, it did not happen.

You should ask for the approved I-140 for your records. Receipt number will not help. If possible, try to get an experience letter as well before you quit. It saves a lot of heartache in future.

Apart from that, please be aware that upon changing employers, you will have to initiate a labor process (For green cad) and I-140 process again with your new employer. The only advantage is that you can only use the old priority date (Unless your employer revokes the application after you quit)
