I 140 EB1 and EB2 are still pending > 1 year

Dear Immihelp members!

I am in a very tough spot. I filed I 140 applications under EB1 and EB2 (NIW) categories at the same time through Stephen Jeffries Attorney on September 30, 2014. There was a RFE for EB1 6 months later which I responded. It is now more than 1 year. There is no update yet. They are being processed at Texas service center. I am a physician by profession. I am aware that EB1 is very tough for approval. But, I am very much eligible for EB2 (NIW).

I am not sure why it is taking such a long time to process?
Is my EB2 is pending because of EB1? I do not have much hopes on EB1, but at least hoping EB2 gets approved so I can extend my Visa every 3 years.

My I-140 was approved in just plain 7 working days (last week) as I did Premium processing (i paid the PP fee to my employer).

But my colleague sitting next me is still waiting for his I-140 result since 7 months, he did not opt for PP. So you are not alone.
