Switching Job Title after I-140

Hi ,

I currently work as Software Quality Assurance Engineer - Full time in a tech firm. I have my i-140 approved with the same firm.
I'm planning to switch to another firm but my title will be Technical Marketing engineer.

My question:
I'm aware that my PERM and I-140 will be initated again in the new company.
Since my title will be changed , will my priority date be retained ?

Any insight is deeply appreciated.

Yes, your PD will be considered that of first I-140 petition. Even if you go back to India and come back in few years, you will go through all processes but the PD will be that of first petition (not a legal advise, but am pretty sure on this)
