H1 transfer while I140 Approval pending

My I140 (EB2) is filed with company A on September 20, 2016. I am still waiting for the approval. I got a new full time offer with a Company B. Will my H1 Transfer affect the I140 processing ? Please let me know if i can preserve my priority date once Company B starts my GC Process.

Green card is for future employment only. So your current H1 status, etc., do not matter. An employer can file I140 for you, even if you are not in this country, and not working for that employer.

Thank you for the reply. Now once the I140 is approved, can i update my H1 Transfer petition to get 3 year extension beyond my 6 years ? i have already submitted the H1 Transfer documents to USCIS
