query about I-140 & does it allow 3yrs extension for H1 visa

Hi,

I want to find out if I do premium processing for I-140 & get approved then do I get 3yrs extension for H1 with that? can I file for extension if my I-140 gets approved ?

I've to get 7th yr extension in April'07 so it will be better if someone can help me with this .

What can be done to get 7th yr. extension if my PERM is less than 1yr old ?

You can get 3 H1B extn once the I-140 is approved (assuming indian nationals - otherwise check the US visa bulletin whether visa is available now).

If one year is passed since the filing of any LC (or PERM) or I-140, you are elgible for one year extn.

thanks for ur reply but can u let me know what u mean by 3h1b extension..does that mean 3 one year extn or something else?i m in my sixth year of h1 & my h1b status is expiring in april of next year.i just got my labor approved in july..so is there any way i can get an extension for 7th year if i file my i-140 in premium processing & get it approved?please let me know if u know anything about it

I meant 3 year.
You are right, if you process your I-140, prem u can apply for 3 year H1B extn. I-140 prem processing currently available only for EB3.
