    Immihelp and others,

My H1 will expire in Nov and I have just got my labor cleared (PD Jan 10,2000 - EB 2 RIR). I will be applying for I-140 at Texas Center. My lawyer has advised me that I-140 would normally take 4 -5 months and I would be just eligible for I-485. His advise for me is to stay in US for 180 days without working and then appy for 485 when my 140 is approved.

    1. Estimation of 4-5 months for I-140 is realistic?
    2. Can I can apply for 485 during those 180 days?

Any other suggestions and advise is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks
