GC application

Hello, I have my H1 B visa currently Valid until April 7 , 2011. My 6 years on
H1B visa will be over on this date ( April 7 , 2011) . Can I apply for my GC this year through my company ,so I can stay past 6 years, or its too late now to apply for a GC? Any response would be highly appreciated.

File it before April 7. So, if you get your I-94 before April 7 - 2011 then you will get next 3yrs extension....So, act fast.
