  • Premium Processing Fee Will Be Refunded

    Hello All,

My employer submitted I-140 on my behalf in May. Earlier this month, Premium Processing has been applied.

The 15-day period ended last week, but USCIS hasn't processed anything. Today, upon checking the case status, the following message appears:

"Premium Processing Fee Will Be Refunded

On June 29, 2020, USCIS made the decision to refund the Premium Processing fee for your Form I-140, Immigrant Petition for Alien Worker, Receipt Number [//REDACTED//]. Your refund will be mailed to the fee remitter on file. This refund does not affect the processing or location of your case. If you do not receive your refund by September 27, 2020, please call the Burlington Finance Center at 1-802-288-7600. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address."

Has anyone experienced anything like this? What can I expect from now on?

    Thanks!

It means that USCIS had a 2 week window to adjudicate your case (from the date of receipt notice). Since they did not do anything, they will return the fee to you.
The case should still be considered for fast processing
