Consular Processing post I140 approval

Hello, my I140 got approved last year under EB1 category. During the same time, my L1A visa extension got denied, from that time I am back to my home country (India). Now, company has filled new L1A (as my previous L1A expiered in December, 2019), the result for new L1A petition has not arrived yet and its normal processing time has been crossed. Looking to all this, can I start my i485 as consular processing?

Once you are the beneficiary of an approved immigrant petition and an immigrant visa number is immediately available to you, there are two ways to apply for lawful permanent resident status (a Green Card). If you are outside of the United States, you may apply at a U.S. Department of State consulate abroad for an immigrant visa in order to come to the United States and be admitted as a permanent resident. This pathway is referred to as consular processing.

I think it is fine to start the I-485 now

So if the EB1 I-140 is approved but the L1A extension is denied, you can still I485 or do consular process for the GC? The L1A denial does n ot kill the immigrant process, correct?

Per my knowledge, yes. you can still file I-485 petition in this scenario.
