re- applying for I140

My husbands I140 was approved early 2011 and his priority date is Sep 2009. Recently his old company was acquired by a new company and as per the new comapnies immigration team/HR they will have to re apply for I140 since they see some issues with the earlier application like with the job title/description and there are chances of audit issues.

Can you please advsie if there is any other option other than re applying for I140 since its already approved. Also will there be any delay /isuue because of re application ?
