  • At what point does the EB2 GC process become independent of the current employer

    Hello folks,

If some one knows about this, it would be a great help for me if you can answer. What I would like to know is, at what point in the GC process is it safe to change employer.

In my case, my labor is approved(EB2) and my I-140 is filed just a couple of weeks ago. I am getting a good oppertunity in another firm but do not want to have my GC process effected.

    Please advise.

    There is nothing like that.
Your new employer need to start the GC process from scratch with PERM filing.
If your current I140 is approved, and you have a copy of the approval notice, new employer can port the PD.
