my petition was approved last june 2013 and were still working on my affidavit of support what will happen to my petition if year end comes and were still in the process of submitting my affidavit of support will my petition be forfeited? Or is it gonna be delayed?

Once your petition has been approved by USCIS and gets to the NVC, it can remain at the NVC for several years, so long as the NVC has contact from you at least once a year.
