My case has been in Mumbai consulate for over a year. My packet III is complete and about to reach the consulate. Can anyone tell me how much time it takes to know what my appointment date is going to be. Does the consulate reply saying "we received your package" and "here is the date" or do they directly send packet 4? How much time do they take to send that? The trouble I have right now is we have travel plans to India mid-July. If I can get an appointment in early August, then I can keep my plan, if that's not possible, I have to take a decision regarding booking/canceling my ticket. My packet III was supposed to reach last month but it is just reaching now. So, there was a hope that I know my appointment date by now. Now there is family function in July and I am in a fix whether I need to make two trips or cancel attending the family function and wait for an appointment date from the consulate
