Review time at NVC

My case is at NVC for review since March 1 -2002 and they are informing me that it will take 6-8 weeks for review. They are saying it will then take 10 to 15 days to forward it to my consulate (Chennai).

Do they take that long for review? Did anybody got reviewed faster?

Looks like they new process has resulted in 2-3 months delay.

I was told the same thing. P3 at NVC on Feb 15. Still waiting.

The NVC is now taking a lot more time due to additional scrutiny, also they are changing the process by which some consulates now process CP. For instance, now some consulates packet III and IV will be processed at NVC NOT at the consulate. The NVC will also determine the appointments schedules for those individuals.

Some consulates will continue to function just the same way as before, at least for a while. I.e. they will process P3, P4, and schedule your interview.

So, since NVC is now taking care of more steps in the process, and more scrutiny is being placed on all cases, expect overall CP processing times to increase... we hope not so much that CP will become as lenghty as AOS... but who knows.

Hope this clarifies somewhat expanded processing times at NVC. Good luck to all of you. (I wish I was at least at that stage...)

Mine reached there on 26th of Feb. I am going through Mumbai consulate.

Whoever hears first from NVC please update everyone.

So NVC would be scheduling the interview is it?

Would that mean that NVC would be sending us PKT4 and we might get more notice time to book tickets to India.

No

No NVC will not schedule interview at least for Inidia.
after review is done p3 will be send to India and they will schedule an interview and send p4 to you.

FYI:

My case review was done at NVC on 03/12/2002 and they took less than 2 weeks. They are saying that it will take 3-4 weeks for the case to reach the consulate who will schedule the interview and send out packet 4.

Hi Guys,

I did look at *********.COM, a couple of them have stated that their case has been forwarded from NVC St.Louis to NVC (NH) and the review has been completed and case forwarded to respective consulates.

Could anyone of you tell me how to obtain the status details of the case, should one call up the NVC(NH)?

Just talked to NVC. P3 received by them on Feb 15, review completed on March 6 for interview in Montreal. 3 weeks.

I see few guys who sent P3 after me got reviewed. Mine was received by NVC on 26th of Feb but has not been reviewed yet. Those who's P3 was reviewed, can you please mention your consulate? Mine is Bombay.

As per ********* One guy's P3 which reached NVC on 21st Feb was reviewed on 12th Mar. He is also through Mumbai consulate. So lets expect ours to be reviewed in next couple of weeks. Another one from Mumbai consulate got RFE on 7th of March.

I called up today but the same story 6-8 weeks.
They received my Pkt3 0n 02/25/02.
Lets hope.
