Hello ex-CPers at Delhi,

Does anyone remember or has a copy of the document signed at the time of facing CP interview?

Can we ask the officer for a copy of what we sign?

All it says that you understand that you will report to work at your sponsoring employer's place once you enter US with your green card. If you are not planning to do so, you have to inform them.

Is this the same at every consulates/embassies?

It means there is no indication of time period that one has to work till that. By joining the sponsoring employer after entring US, no matter if it is for a day or a year, applicant abides by the agreement/decision and hence has not violated the aggreement as far as this document is concerned.

I signed similar form.
There was no time limit specification of any kind. But this does not mean that you can join your sponsor and quit after short while because you wanted to all along.

No. I wasn't required to sign anything other than the OF230 Pt 1.

I have seen this question being asked many times. Why do people keep asking for the copy of that document? How will you get it? You are supposed to sign that document while standing at the window in the consulate. Will the person just sign it and give it back or he will say, let me go out, make a photocopy and then come back so that my other friends can read what exactly it says.

Sorry, but please be realistic.
