I824 RECEIPT NOTICES?

If anyone processed his/her case by filing I824 please post how long it took you to get your receipt notice, please do make sure you include for which service center.

I824 RECEIPT NOTICES?

We filed I 824 (VSC) on June 14th & VSC received on June 17th. We received receipt notice on July 18th.

Was it AC140

Did you have AC140 case ?. If so please give me some more details about your over all experience .

Mine was sent on Oct 2nd 2001, received by VSC on Oct 3, acknowledged Nov 20th or so. The notice says, receipt date Oct 3rd and notice date Nov 8th. (Question: Which date is taken for 60-90 day count? is it the Receipt date or Notice date?)

There is no AC140 in Chennai Consulate so i have no idea.

I think it is from the date of receipt but i am not sure.

We had filed our 824 on oct 2nd, but got it this friday that 7th oct 2001. The process is taking more time that it is supposed to....although our lawyer told us that it would take only 30 days!!!

824 Processing Time at CSC

I applied for 824 at CSC on Nov. 20th and I received receipt notice on 12 th December. My lawer said that CSC is processing 1997 cases now. Is it true? Since my counsulate is Chennai I can't do AC 140.

Any idea what DIV I/II/III/IV means during 824?

Any suggestions? Can I do CP in Mexico?
