Consular processing interview

Hi,

I am doing consular processing. My paper has sent to Chennai consulate office in Oct 07.

What will be the next steps and when I will be getting the interview?

I am doing it for myself and my family. After completing interview, I will be returning to US in a month and my family will be joining after 6 months. Is it possible?

Please advise.
