Police clearance report unobtainable due to corona virus lockdow

hello all,

I have completed my application ds-260 online on the caec website. The website further requires me to submit the Police clearance report which I cannot obtain right now due to the local police department closed and my city in a lockdown due to the COVID 19 virus lockdown. This lockdown is highly likely to be extended by at least a few weeks. Can NVC process my application without it? Should I submit the application without it and explain my situation? Once my interview is scheduled I should be able to provide it at the embassy. Has this been done before? Thanks for any help.

If the police clearance is required then I don't think they will approve and schedule an interview. You may need to wait sometime to continue the process.
