Interviews for EB1 visa in mumbai consulate

I have my EB1A visa interview scheduled on the 23rd August, we plan to travel to the US via Abu Dhabi (US immigration services).

Do anyone know what immigrant visa type will be issued for Eb1 follow-to-join? Is it E1 or IR for dependent family members?

sjchn Hi there, I first tried the slots in Chennai, most of the dates were booked, there were more slots available in Mumbai. So I chose Mumbai.
FYI- I also got to know from another applicant that there is no fee for the biometric.

Just an update, I was able to schedule an appointment for the biometrics by logging in to the site and creating a profile at https://cgifederal.secure.force.com/. In the same site I was also able to schedule pick up of my documents after my interview, you could choose Pick up or Premium delivery (blue dart courier), I chose pick up instead of courier just wanted to make sure that I avoid any delays. The people that I spoke to, told me that they received the courier in two-three days, so its your choice.
I was also able to schedule my medical test with Apollo hospital in Chennai, eleven days prior to the interview. The scheduler was so nice, I was told that even if you had not taken some of the mandatory vaccinations, they would administer that to you on the dat of medical test. I was told that the medical test may take up to fours to complete.
By the way, if you have received your IL, please set up the appointment for the biometrics asap. When I checked yesterday the slots are getting filed very quickly, available dates are shorter.

sjchn I am not aware of the biometrics for EB1A, my interview letter does not mention anything about that, can you please advise?

HI Cheli OR any other member who faced the issue of "DS160 number does not match though it is asking for the DS260 confirmation number on the "add applicant page", when we are trying to add dependents - Any tips on how you overcome this issue? I see that one way is to go for new registration. Has anyone able to fix it without going in that route? Please share if you have any tips on this matter, thanks!

I am able to get thorough this issue by calling the customer service. I am good. Now i dont find any slots available for biometric.

Can I ask you how you added your profile onto your wife's to get the appointment? because my spouse is trying the same, to get added onto our daughter's profile but it says the DS160 number does not match though it is asking for the DS260 confirmation number on the "add applicant page". Not sure why this error is popping up. We added the right DS260 confirmation number and then when we hit continue it gives that message. So thought of reaching out to you to see what you did if that can help me.

Once the visa is stamped, can we opt of direct collection of the passport instead of receiving it via courier? How many days does it take to collect the passport?
