Apply for OCI cards for grownup Kids who are US Citizens?

We have decided to apply for OCI cards for us grownups - US Citizens & To make it easy for travel to India.
We have 2 teens who also are US Citizens and wondering what is the thought process for including and applying for OCI cards for them also?

Any pros/cons to apply/not apply for kids who are almost adults themselves...

You should apply for PIO for them.

That way, you don't have to get new OCI for them every 5 years when they get new passport.
