Travel with less than 3 months left on passport

Hi Friends,

I hold an Indian passport. My passport expires in Feb 2014, and am booked to travel to India from late Nov to early Dec transiting through UK, i.e. with less than 3 months left on passport validity. I am a GC holder. Do you think I'll have any problems with airline, Indian authorities or CBP, or the transit in UK?

I had a similar situation in the past, and upon contacting the Indian consulate, I was advised to renew the passport. Although in that case, it was my daughter's US passport that had less than 6 months of validity left.
