  • Does BLS NY respond to escalation tickets?

I have a passport that came back from the Consulate to BLS NY after OCI match-up in the first week of April. It has still not been dispatched after more than three weeks. I have been raising escalation tickets every week to find out when it will be dispatched or if there is any issue but haven't heard anything back.

If you have any experience with receiving a response (or not receiving one) to your query or escalation ticket from BLS NY, could you post it here?

Also, what is now the best way to get them to look into my case and dispatch my passport? Any suggestion is welcome.

    Thanks.

    Hi

I had also created an escalation ticket on the 19th April for BLS NY as I had send my kids pictures , but since then no one has replied to it. It still shows me an open status.

I don't know why it says escalation ticket when nobody answers it. They have received my package with new pictures but there is no update on the status online.

Will let you know if anyone replies or if I hear from anyone.

    Thanks
    KC

Any updates? Did you get a response from BLS NY?

I'm very much concerned with my application as well. I'm going to have to cancel my trip if they don't get their act together.

I can't believe how very disorganized they are in there. I think that BLS NY just doesn't care. I understand that they may have a huge volume of applications and that they might be backlogged, but that doesn't mean that they should let their customers go weeks without responding. They're holding hostage our passports and trip plans - they're only letting themselves in for mass class action lawsuit with these kinds of activities.

        Indi,
I haven't heard anything yet or received my passport. The infuriating part is that now they are keeping the original passport for a month or longer. This was precisely the thing people had complained about earlier and the process was changed to send in the original passport at the end so that it could be returned to the applicant within a few days.

With a service fee of only $4.70 (probably based on the lowest bid), I don't see how they can provide a decent level of service. I am sure people will readily pay more if good service can be assured. We pay 4 or 5 times more just to mail our applications in. I shudder at the thought of going through this for kids every 5 years till they reach the age of 20!

I have the same problem with BLS SFO. I sent my passport on Feb 22nd, more than 2 months ago for matching. BLS actually did respond to my escalation when I contacted them end of March. They said the passport is still with the consulate. But since I contacted them 3 more times, and there is no response. I wonder if they only respond once for each user and then ignore.

I have no luck reaching them on the phone either. very worried. Both my passport and my wife's passport is stuck.

My experience is same. They don't bother to respond to escalation ticket at BLS-NY. They do not pick up phone, you cannot leave voice message and escalation tickets go unanswered.
