BLS Atlanta location lost US passport and OCI

Hello.

I have been trying to reach someone at the BLS Atlanta location for the past several weeks. Have tried to call but no one answers the phone, tried to escalate the case but it gets closed every time with a canned message. BLS has lost our passport and approved OCI cards. They claim to have mailed but there is no online tracking.

Short of having to re-apply for US passport and then again OCI - I see no options. Driving to Atlanta is not feasible as i don't think BLS would respond in anyway plus the cost associated with travelling back and forth could be applied towards new US passport.

I did shoot an email and make a phone call to the Indian Consulate in Atlanta but they absolutely don't care.

*** I think BLS and Indian Consulate set high marks in how to provide the worst customer service *** they can be excellent case studies!!!

Are there any other options or than applying for new passport and moving on with my life?

Just an update.

I'll be reapplying for US passport and again for OCI in the next few weeks/months.

Trying to get BLS and Indian Consulate to respond the last 2 months has been painful and am surprised at the lack of customer service, lack of co-ordination even with all the tools they have at their disposal.

This is really a disgrace.

If the Indian consulate cannot handle issuing OCI cards(which is simple IMO) in a short period and in an consistent manner, am not sure how will they take any other venture that requires greater co-ordination and skill. it's appalling that we have people in power who are inept.
