Hi,
My wife had her surname changed to marital surname last year. This resulted in her getting a new British passport. Following this we made an application for changes to OCI (two separate miscellaneous applications - one for name change & another for passport change). A few months later new OCI got issued and a new visa stamped on the new British passport. However, they kept the previous surname on both OCI card & visa. Now the situation is - a British passport with new surname & OCI/Visa on the same passport with old surname. So we made another OCI miscellaneous application for name change/update. While we wait for this, we need to travel India. My question is - can we still travel with this new OCI card though it has the previous surname on it. Will carrying the old OCI & Old British passport & marriage certificate, as supporting document to prove the identity be enough for immigration at Indian border?
