  • Anyone in SF, who filed for OCI/PIO via BLS and stuck now????

    Hi,
Like a few others, myself and my wife are horrified to know that Cox & Kings has "No record" of our application, and their phone does not work. We filed via BLS (on Jan 29'th) and we have no clue how to proceed, as neither BLS nor the Indian embassy are helping or even reachable.
This is absolutely ridiculous & frustrating, as they have all our records (including our original Indian passports).

Is anybody planning to gate crash Cox & Kings? If anyone is planning personally visit their office in SF, I can also join - if it would help.

    Thanks
    Sundar R

They told me on phone and on email that all the records from the San Francisco office have not been updated and will be done in the next few days.

I think it would be naive to believe what they say. At this time, I have come to a conclusion that C&K would be no better than BLS. All of them appear to be scam artists, hand in glove with the Indian embassy folks- each blaming the other.

Wish the Indian Consul General puts some effort to gain the confidence of the people. But, that would be too much to ask, as he must be under the Scam's payroll.

r_sundar, You said you applied on Jan 29th. That's well over the normal processing time.

What does your status say on http://passport.gov.in/oci/statusEnqury

          I get this :-

          Applicant Name xxxxx
          File Acknowledgment Number USAS000xxxxxx
          Date Of Acknowledgment 30-JAN-2014
Registration Status at Mission SAN FRANCISCO
          Documents Printing Status UNDER-PROCESS

Will going to the embassy help?

If it is more than 25 working days since application, embassy will look into it.

PIO for my son at BLS san francisco. Received at BLS on 05/14th. No records found either on BLS or CKGS. Checked with my bank today and the cashier check is not cashed yet. The check is in favour of BLS. That means BLS hasn't even opened the package yet. No way they handed over the application to CKGS. The Fedex return envelop tracking number has no updates. Hmm.......in limbo. I guess I just have to wait. I wish someone acknowledges the possession of the documents. Ckgs says few "ready to handover applications" were received from BLS, whatever that means.
