  • CKGS Online Payment Nightmare

    I have made payment through CKGS website payment link for PIO application and return courier fee.

    After payment, I was taken to error page for both the transaction. I didn’t get transaction confirmation / payment receipt through email as well. But when I looked at my online bank transaction, the fee has been deducted from my account.

    I am not able to print the return courier label in their website since I didn’t get airway bill number after paying courier fee. I do not have receipt for the application fee that I paid.

    I have called them multiple times and written ‘n’ number of emails to them as well. Their response is pathetic and no solution so far.

    Did anyone face this issue and have solution? Please let me know.

    Sorry to hear that, one other person also said the same in other thread. Best is to send through USPS ($5.60 priority mail with tracking), they will send you the tracking number to your email. For return pay $15 extra for fedex in that CKGS order form..

    This whole system is botched up and we can do nothing.

      I had same nightmare with payment. I opted for getting documents returned by fedex. Paid the 15$ and got a confirmation page that is blank and just says confirmation. That's all. No success or failure. No confirmation number. On sending an email, they replied saying to attach printout of transaction of proof. I also got a 404 while doing the online payment for the application. So I have sent them the bank statement copies indicating the transaction and am waiting with my fingers crossed!

        Payment issue

        Hi, I had the same issue for the FedEx payment. The website said "Thankyou for the Payment" and that's it, no confirmation. When I went in person to NY for the visa application, the lady at the counter said that I could submit the credit card payment proof. So I took a print out of the statement at the kiosk at the CKGS center which she cut out and highlighted, verified with someone inside as I waited there. I guess it was ok coz she stapled it to the application and took it for further processing. Disclaimer - FYI , This is my personnel experience , I still haven't received the visa yet , as it is still at the embassy .

          I paid online and was redirected to an error page. Called up and sent emails, they told me to send credit card statement proof. Waited a couple of days for the transaction to be posted and took print of the Credit card transaction page and sent it as proof of payment. Hopefully it will work :|

          And worse, I could not opt for return fedex service as the online form doesn't show the city I live in. When I called them about it, they said 'sir, your city is not in service. please send pre paid envelope'.

            CKGS a big nuisance

            Hi,

            I am Niraj Dewan, a journalist, who had been following up to get an answer for my mother-in-law’s visa application request in CKGS, New York who was rudely refused after 6 hours of restlessness and discomfort of not accepting her visa application due to manpower issues and system failures.

            I seek help from the Indian government who in turn help me to find a solution to a problem through the Indian consulate.

            You can also write to the Indian government who HELPED ME to get answers to my queries and discomfort faced with the new service provider in New York.

                issue sort of solved

                Same problem happened to me. I found a website that allowed you to retrieve and reprint the receipts for both the CKGS application and the courier return (provided just a passport number). Hope it helps, its here:

                    I think you got really lucky getting anything out from your communicating with Sushma Swaraj and others. My communication with them has been like praying for rain in the Sahara desert.

                    CKGS is a pathetic service, as if it is from a third world country!

                      Good news is Consular is accepting feedbacks on next year, 4 years contract with CKGS is going to over. hopefully they reconsider a new agent who is putting service first and modern operation management, do not limited to Indian company. information is available in Consulate official website.
