Hi Everyone,
I am starting an application process for OCI and Renunciation on the CKGS website. The instructions have a lot of gaps in them, so hoping to get some guidance from this forum. Following are my questions:
1. Is there a CKGS OCI Order Form? I do not see it listed in the list of documents.
2. I do see a CKGS Order Form for Renunciation. So does this mean that I need to make 2 copies of the CKGS renunciation Order Form.
3. In the CKGS Renunciation Order Form, I will be entering $175 for line A. Then line B has $3 for ICWF and line C has $17 for the CKGS Service Fee. Line D is not applicable for US citizens. But then line E talks about Renunciation Fees again. Since I am already entering $175 in line A, what is the purpose of line E in this form?
4. Do I enclose payment for OCI and Renunciation separately? Or make one money order which combines OCI and Renunciation fee. The reason I ask this is because OCI does not have an Order Form (see my question #1 above) so there is nowhere to write the OCI amounts clearly. So I am thinking the only way to keep this simple is to include separate payment for OCI (which does not have a CKGS Order Form) and a separate payment for Renunciation (which has the CKGS Order Form)
Anybody has any thoughts on the above questions? Greatly appreciate your help. If anyone has applied for OCI and Renunciation together recently, or planning to apply, it will be great to hear your guidance on the process.
Thanks.
