  • Which OCI category for my spouse with PIO?

I am an OCI Card holder and my spouse (citizen of US by birth) holds PIO Card. Now I am thinking of converting her PIO to OCI but I am stumped by OCI Categories on CKGS website. Logically, this should fall under "OCI in lieu of PIO Card" but when I notice the document checklist it does not mention any line items for "If Applying on Basis of spouse", however, it has option of applying on basis of own or parents/grandparents.

CKGS shows a completely new category "OCI Card for Foreign spouse of Person of Indian Origin" as well and I notice the document checklist here talks about "If Applying on basis of spouse". Now, which category would my wife's application fall under considering she already has valid PIO Card and would they demand me to pay full fee as a new OCI Card application?

    Any help is appreciated.

    Thanks
