India Passport - Self attested means?

Hi,
I have submitted the Fresh Passport (INDIA) application form online and now i am preparing the required documents to produce in PSK office.
I heard that all the original documents like DOB, Transfer Certs, Mark sheets, Address Proof (Ration card, Voter ID, Bank passbook) documents has to be carried to PSK office during the scheduled appointment date.


Here are my questions:
1. What does self-attested documents means?
2. How to get self-attested for all the required documents which needs to be carried to PSK office?
3. If we show ration card as address proof, is it ok if we have Voter ID and Bank Passbook as additional address proof documents matching the same address which is present in Ration card?
