    Work permit in India for an OCI holder with Portuguese Passport

    Hi,

    I will be applying for a Portuguese Passport and after that will be applying for OCI.

    Applying an Portuguese Passport will mean I will have to surrender my Indian Passport and I would no longer be an Indian citizen.

    However, I would like to know if once I get the OCI, whether I have the rights to work in any Private Firm in India?

    Since I would not be having Indian passport but would have OCI, so does that mean that if i wish sometime in future, I can work in India in some private firm.

    I would be glad if you can give me an answer for this as it might help me in further decisions.
