  • OCI in Lieu of PIO form - birth place in case of undivided india born applicants ?

    Hi,

My father has a PIO card and has stayed overseas for several years before retiring in India where he has now been for the last 6 years periodically registering in commissioners office as was previously required for PIO holders. Now I am filling the registration form for applying online for OCI in Lieu of PIO but while filling the form there is a drop down for selecting birth place and another one for selecting state. My father was born before partition (1944) in Sindh Hyderabad then unpartitioned India. There is no option for that and I am forced to select Hyderabad and state as Andhra pradesh! Anyone who could please help with this regarding how to go about this will highly appreciate as he needs to travel to Mumbai FRRO on 14/03.

    Thanks

go ahead fill out all the ture information, as applicant born before partitioned, as long as they has the naturalization certificate states that last nationality was India, and holding proof of Indian origin will have no issue to cost delay
