  • OCI Match-up in India instead of USA due to death of a family member.

    Hello,
Recently, My OCI card is approved and received at the Consulate in San Francisco and is ‘Ready to be Matched - Up’ but due to death of my family member, I had to travel to India and will have to stay here (in India) for many months to help surviving members and children in my family.
How and where do I send the request to do the "match-up process" in India instead of USA?
How long does the process take?
    Is this possible ?
Please advise. Any suggestions/tips/experiences shared would be highly appreciated.
    Thank you !

How sure are you about this? CKGS was vehemently telling me that this is not possible. There is no "official" word about this anywhere.
