OCI application for the Kid with Indian Parents (H1/H4) visa

We have H1/H4 visa validaity till 12/31/2016. The Kid is one year old she was born in USA.
We are trying to apply for OCI for the kid . Could someone please assist us if the visa validity(30 days) is enough to apply for OCI.

have no issues if visa still valid up to date of submission
